Phenomenal work. Your writing has really improved since Chapter 1 of Dark Matter. I’d love to hear more about your journey through the craft of storytelling between early Dark Matter and now.
I’m glad you’re enjoying it, T.S. And I think you’re right, my writing has improved since I started about a year ago. Writing serially on Substack gave me a short feedback loop with readers... Early on I focused on both grammar and storytelling feedback. Some sentence structures felt off to readers even though they sounded great in my head because I was translating too directly from Portuguese. And readers consistently responded more to chapters written in a strong deep POV, even for AI characters, so I leaned into that more deliberately. This chapter and the next one are good examples of that.
The timeline is impressive, and English as a second language is amazing to me, but I think it likely gave you a benefit as well. Being able to read your own writing honestly and to be receptive of feedback is not an ability shared by many. As an outsider, you’re less likely to bring in the ego that usually stands in the way of betterment.
You’re ceiling is very high my friend. Keep it up!

Really liked Book 1, too. Do check out the Episode we did together, I loved chatting about Bruno’s journey!
Will do! Listening now.
Awesome! Enjoy. We certainly did, haha!
This adds so much to think about when considering the events at the start of Dark Matter.
This is good, you can enjoy it even if you haven't read Dark Matter.
